LIST OF MY BEST ILLUSTRATIONS
This is a work created for a module called "Infographics" that I studied in my second year in Temasek Polytechnic. The assignment required us to create an infographic that featured the results from a survey we did on our fellow schoolmates.
THE REFLECTION:
I am very glad that I went through this module. It had been a while since I got to draw so I was thankful for the opportunity to create again. Since this module was more or less "Self Directed Learning", meaning that the brief was vague, I was able to explore many ideas and options and expand my creative energy.

This is a work created for a module called "Design Essentials" that I studied in my first year in Temasek Polytechnic. The assignment required us to create a digital portrait of our favourite celebrity.
THE REFLECTION:
This was the first illustration I had done on a laptop. It was very difficult at first as I did not fully understand the tools in Adobe Illustrator. However, after a few tries, I did get the hang of it and could start drawing the lady. This module really introduced me to the basics of design and taught me the softwares I needed to use for my subsequent work. Because of this module, I am now fully proficient in Adobe Illustrator and its functions. I am glad I struggled during this module because it taught me true grit and how to be self-suffcient.

This is a work created for a module called "History of Graphic Design" that I studied in my first year in Temasek Polytechnic. The assignment required us to create a digital illustration of a book cover using the art style of Art Nouveau.
THE REFLECTION:
This work taught me how to use the Principles of Design (balance and contrast) to my advantage and how to implement those principles into my work. I gained a better design eye after doing this particular piece of work because it is so detail oriented. I am glad I took this module because even if it was very theory based, I was able to ensure my foundation in art and design was stable and strong. This is the reason why I have gotten so much better in design and why I have a stronger passion for the arts.

This is a work created for a module called "Graphic Stylization" that I studied in my first year in Temasek Polytechnic. The assignment required us to create a digital illustration of ourselves using the art styles of 4 different art movements (Art Nouveau, Constructivism, Pop Art, Art Deco)
THE REFLECTION:
This work really instilled in me the theories and art styles of the different art movements. I had to do my own research and look into the history of the art movements. I am glad I did the research because I until now, even if I do not illustrate as much anymore, I still implement details of the art movements into all of my works.

This is a work created for a module called "Graphic Stylization" that I studied in my first year in Temasek Polytechnic. The assignment required us to recreate an existing book cover in an art style from an art movement that we have learnt (Art Deco).
THE REFLECTION:
The book cover I decided to recreate was "Breaking Dawn" by Stephanie Meyer. This work really tested my skills in Adobe Illustrator. I had to redraw the main character and her baby in a completely different setting in a completely different style. Thus, this tested my ability to imagine and draw too. But ultimately, I managed to pull it off and I am glad I did because I am extremely proud of this work. There were a lot of bumps along the way but I pulled through and I think the work looks stellar.

I was tasked to create a series of illustrations and assets for
FIF Furniture Studio for their Instagram page to help spread awareness about the affordability of their products.
Year: 2018
I created a series of illustrations for Eu Yan Sang's Instagram page to promote their home remedies. The illustrations are bright in colour and cartoonish– to catch the eye of viewers and increase engagement.
